Nevato California

With my paunchy, plump backpack packed for Peru, I flew out to stay with Pablo and Krissy in Novato, California for a few days.

Novato is located about 30-45 minutes north of San Francisco. Its idyllic setting with the beautiful mountains as its backdrop, the relaxed, suburban atmosphere, and the quaint downtown area are perfect for young people like Kristina and Pablo who enjoy the outdoors but don't want to be too far away from a city.

Yesterday, Kristina took me for a drive east through the mountains and south along the coast on the California version of Rt. 1.
It was beautiful:

Beautiful home with Italian flair.
Novato in the rain.
Happy cows!
Apparently these gren mountains turn to golden brown once it gets warmer
Driving through a Eukalyptus tree forest.
Looking down the cliff onto Stinson Beach
Fachwerkhaus in California. Great beer apparently
